Past positive experiences at 鶹ý when one student was younger influenced his decision to attend Tech for his education.
Noah Simpson graduated in the spring of 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with a concentration in vehicle engineering. He is continuing his education at Tech working on a master’s degree.
“I chose to come to Tech from my previous experiences coming to this university when I was in middle school. I competed in FIRST Lego League and the state competitions were held in Tech’s Memorial Gym,” Simpson said. “I enjoyed coming here to compete in those and being able to come to school here was great.”
Simpson also credited that he felt that Tech is a “great engineering school,” not far from his home in Spring Hill, Tennessee, and more affordable than other universities.
“The most rewarding part of my time at Tech has definitely been in the connections I have made,” Simpson said.
These include the connections with the faculty and staff, fellow students he had classes with, and his personal relationships outside of school.
Simpson said he felt his time at Tech prepared him for getting a job in industry.
“The classes, experiences, and stories have been wonderful sources of knowledge and experience to prepare me for future work,” Simpson said.
