Army ROTC
Lab Overview
Leadership Labs are held every Tuesday from 4:00 鈥 6:00pm at various locations on campus or the Hyder-Burks Agricultural Pavilion (AKA 鈥淭he Pig Farm鈥) just off of campus. Lab brings together all Cadets in the Golden Eagle Battalion in order to apply the information learned in Military Science classes and provide an opportunity for Cadets to operate at the team, squad, and platoon level. The skills taught and evaluated in lab directly relate to skills and tasks that Cadets will be evaluated on at Advanced Camp. Seniors (MS IVs) typically plan the labs and serve as primary instructors and evaluators. Juniors (MS IIIs) are the primary training audience for skills training and they typically serve in the key leadership roles of Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, or Platoon Leader during squad and platoon level operations. Sophomores (MS IIs) serve as Team Leaders during squad and platoon level operations. Freshman (MS Is) serve as members of squad, machine gunners, or automatic riflemen during squad and platoon level operations. Cadre members ensure safe execution of training and coach, teach, and mentor Cadets across all MS levels.
