Bring Your Own Device

Students are engaged in many curricular and field-based activities requiring constant access and integration of technology.

All students are required to have an entry-level (primary) portable computing device (laptop).

Please note that secondary computing devices like tablets can be used, however they are not considered primary computing devices.

  • Laptop Specification Minimums

    Mac (2019 or newer)

    Processor: Intel-based Core i-Series 
    Operating System: OSX 10.9 or higher
    Screen size: 11 inch or higher 
    RAM: 8GB or higher
    Storage: 250gb or higher
    Webcam and microphone


    Windows (2019 or newer)

    Processor: Intel-based Core i-Series or AMD equivalent
    Operating System: Windows 7 or higher
    Screen size: 11 inch or higher
    RAM: 8GB or higher
    Storage: 250gb or higher
    Webcam and microphone

     

    *(minimal specifications may experience limited functionality with some applications)

    The table below denotes which departments within the College of Education allow either a Macintosh, Windows, or Chromebook as a primary device.

    Tk20 is an online portfolio management system that is required of all College of Education majors.
