GEAR UP TECH

Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½'s College of Education has been awarded a record-setting grant of nearly $10 million from the U.S. Department of Education to support college readiness efforts in some of the state's most rural and underserved communities.

The Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) grant is the second largest grant in the university's 109-year history and its largest grant aimed at directly serving populations in Tennessee.

Â鶹¹û¶³´«Ã½'s Millard Oakley STEM Center for the Teaching and Learning of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics is an extraordinary facility, located in Ray Morris Hall, that offers educators, schools, students (PreK through college), and the regional community a wealth of interactive programs, activities, and events.
