College Town Weekends is a promotion that combines both on-campus and off-campus events into one list so students can easily find weekend activities of interest. Students are encouraged to take advantage of all that Tech and the surrounding community have to offer. After all, Cookeville is Tennessee’s college town!

Tech Night at Fall Fun Fest

Join us for Tech Night at Fall Fun Fest on September 6 at CityScape, located at Cookeville's Courthouse Square from 5 to 10 p.m. Enjoy an evening filled with great music, delicious food, and fun for all ages. Tech students can take advantage of special discounts with their Eagle Card and receive a free t-shirt while supplies last. First Friday takes place on September 6 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Meg's Bread & West Side Grocery. These pop-up art shows occur on the first Friday of each month from June through October, showcasing local artists who exhibit and sell their work at rotating locations throughout Cookeville. On September 7, Plenty Bookshop will host its first-ever Literary Gala at Leslie Town Centre from 6 to 11 p.m. This unique event, themed "Three Musketeers Masquerade," is designed to celebrate and promote literacy and a love for books in the Upper Cumberland. The evening begins with a silent auction at 6 p.m., followed by a delicious dinner at 7 p.m., and features dancing, entertainment, and an array of festivities. The 4th Annual Great Pumpkin Festival will be held on September 14 and 15 at the Putnam County Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This fun-filled event features a pumpkin patch, crafts, food and drinks, games, helicopter rides, and more, with a $2 entry fee. On September 28, the Cookeville Cemetery Walk will offer a unique and immersive experience as several "residents" of the Cookeville City Cemetery rise from the grave to share their stories. This educational and entertaining event will take place at 6 p.m. and again at 8 p.m., with guided groups following a candlelit path to various gravesites. Held on even-numbered years, alternating with Night at the Museums, tickets for the event are available at the Cookeville Performing Arts Center.
