Description: The Tennessee Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations (TACIR) is accepting applications for a Research Associate to focus on public policy issues affecting local governments in Tennessee. TACIR鈥檚 research, evaluations, and technical assistance enable state and local government officials to unravel complex issues and make creative, informed policy and program decisions. Applicants must have an earned graduate degree to be considered. The job is in our downtown Nashville, TN office. Our staff currently telecommutes from home three days per week most weeks. Salary: $60,000 with actual salary commensurate with experience and education.
Description: The Southern Environmental Law Center has created a new position, Forest Associate, ideally located in our Asheville, NC or Chapel Hill, NC offices. This individual will join our Forest Program but will also work in concert with our Energy Program as needed, and report to Senior Attorneys in our Asheville and Chapel Hill offices. Salary: $59,000- $70,000.
Description: In this position, you will evaluate and present information regarding emissions from proposed processes and equipment in support of state and federal permit applications and regulatory compliance reports. Assisting clients with sustainability reporting and achieving Environmental, Social, Governance is also an important priority for this role. Job duties will include performing engineering calculations, compiling permit application documents, preparing compliance reports, meeting and coordinating with clients to obtain and understand project information, communicating with regulatory personnel, and evaluating control technologies and emission reduction options for client facilities.
