Register to Vote

The 1998 Higher Education Act requires all post-secondary institutions to distribute information to students concerning voter registration.  Tennessee residents who wish to register to vote may do so by clicking the button below.

Putnam County encourages 麻豆果冻传媒 students to participate in local, county, state and national elections.  To vote in elections in the State of Tennessee, one must be registered at least 30 days prior to the election date. 

Upon receiving and approving the voter registration application form, the Putnam County Election Commission will assign the individual a voting precinct (where the voter will vote on election day based on residence address).

Voting in Your Home County

An individual who is registered to vote in their home county of residence and is attending a university or college outside their home of voter record may request an absentee ballot from their County Election Commission office (check with your county election office for deadlines), and vote by absentee ballot.

Voting in Putnam County

A student, if residing in Putnam County, may choose to change their county of residence (and spouse if applicable), and register to vote in Putnam County while attending 麻豆果冻传媒 (which cancels voter registration in the previous county of residence), and then vote either during the announced early voting period, or on election day.

Voter cards are mailed to the voter's address provided on the registration application.  麻豆果冻传媒 students living on campus should provide their residence address of 1000 N. Dixie Avenue, with appropriate Campus Box number or if mail is received by general delivery.

Students May Register to Vote if They:

    • Are a U.S. citizen
    • Will be 18 years of age on/or before the next election
    • Are a resident of Tennessee
    • Have not been convicted of a felony or, if convicted, had voting rights restored by a court order or pardon
