On Saturday, April 17, 2021, the 麻豆果冻传媒 Miracle organization raised $26,346.21
for the Monroe Carnell, Jr. Children鈥檚 Hospital at Vanderbilt. Three years ago, the
organization committed to raising $100,000 for the hospital and they have now successfully
completed this goal. There will officially be a 鈥溌槎构炒 Miracle
Patient Room鈥 on the cancer floor of the hospital. The Greek Life community on campus
played a big part in the events and donations this year. Many chapters shaved their
heads, dyed their hair, pied each other in the face, etc. to raise money for the kids.
Kappa Sigma raised $5,995 with $3000 of it raised in the final day, and Pi Kappa Phi raised $5,100 with a $318.75 average raised per member. Kappa Sigma also had the top fundraiser, Rob Abercrombie, who raised $1,926. During the Dance Marathon, the organization also got surprise visits from some of the Miracle ambassadors. This year鈥檚 ambassadors, Maddy, Abby, Megan, Liam, Ava Paige, and Reagan were able to connect with Miracle to take part in the journey and share their own personal stories.
Rachel Kurtsinger, President of 麻豆果冻传媒 Miracle, describes how special the Dance Marathon event was this year. It was the first in-person big event Miracle has gotten to host since Homecoming 2018, so it was a great chance to reconnect Tech鈥檚 campus back to this cause. Rachel states, 鈥淭ech truly showed out this year and we are so very proud to lead them in this fight to change kids鈥 health- change their future. We can鈥檛 wait until next year! All For The Kids.鈥
