How to Use Retrieval Practice to Improve Learning

Retrieval Practice is a no-stakes learning strategy with minimal planning required where students pull information out of their brains. Memory is strengthened and forgetting is less likely to occur the more a learner retrieves rather than receives information. Flip: Discussion Alternative

Flip is a free, web-based program that is used as an instructional tool for capturing brief video comments and reactions. Flip allows students to consider other peoples鈥 perceptions and engage in content and feedback while developing their communication skills.
